Designing Harper's Nursery

Shortly (like the NEXT day) after we found out we were having a little girl, I started putting together ideas for her nursery. Okay, if I'm being honest, I started long before we found out what we were having..but  now I finally had the "ok" to start buying things! Sooo, WOO!
Since there are literally trillions of directions you could go in when planning a nursery, I just started with things I already had that I wanted to use in the room.....my Grandpa's grey chair and a set of pink and yellow Serena & Lily baskets. Pink and yellow was perfect color scheme for the room - fun & bright - just the feel I wanted the room to have.. It all progressed from there.

Harper's Nursery

Harper's nursery is the first room in our house I would actually consider 'finished' and I am absolutely IN LOVE with how it turned out. It's bright and cheerful and most importantly, fun! I had such a good time putting it together and crafting all of the DIY projects that I *almost* wish I could start over. I guess I'll just have to settle with designing nursery's for future nieces and nephews ;)
Chevron Mirror - Home Depot | White Frames - Ikea | Art in frames - I made them in photoshop
I didn't actually keep track of how much I spent on the nursery but I know it wasn't too bad... My amazing Grandma Farr purchased the crib for us as a gift and my awesome Grandma Vrem gave us the beautiful chair.. It was my Grandpa's and so it has very special meaning to me and I love that it's the chair we cuddle with and read to Harper in.
Baskets - Serena & Lilly | Crib - Babyletto | Painting, mobile & garland - I made
I custom ordered the dresser from a local lady who re-purposes old furniture. I had originally planned on doing it myself but decided that with a full time job, part time job AND being pregnant.. it just wasn't going to happen.. It was the most expensive thing in the room and cost me $375.

Shelves - Ikea | Art - Society 6
Side Table - Target | Elephant Lamp - Urban Outfitters | Frames & Shelves - Ikea | Floor Pouf - Target

All of the shelving and picture frames were purchased at Ikea, the super cute monster, dumbo and deer prints were all gifts from my sister, Kaylee, from Society 6 and the rest, I made on Photoshop and printed at home or at Walmart.

The 3D wall shapes are made from scrap paper..I saw a much better looking version a blogger made for her daughter's birthday party and thought they would be perfect for the room.. My versions aren't nearly as elaborate but I still love them. When Harper's on her changing pad she loves looking up at them.

Crib - Babyletto | Pom-pom garland, mobile & painting - I made | Pillows - Pier One
The pom-pom and paper garlands were a super fun and easy DIY project I did at home back in December/January and I JUST finished the painting that's hung above the crib.
Stan helped me hang everything and didn't complain ONCE! *Miracle* He was great, even when I had him move a few frames after he'd gotten them all up. You could tell he wanted her room to be just as perfect as I did... All for you Harper, all for you..
